Our Honest Review of Omega Mart in Las Vegas: Was It Worth It?
When planning our Las Vegas stop on our Southwest road trip, I knew I wanted to include some unique experiences. Vegas has no shortage of things to do, but I was looking for something a little different—something our whole family would remember.
That’s when Omega Mart kept popping up.
The pictures looked incredible. The idea sounded fascinating. And honestly? It looked like exactly the kind of weird, creative, out-of-the-box experience our family would enjoy.
So of course… we had to try it.
And here is our honest review.
First Impressions
If you don’t know what Omega Mart is, it’s an immersive art experience created by Meow Wolf inside Area15 in Las Vegas.
From the moment you walk in, it is unlike anything else. The colors, creativity, hidden rooms, and crazy details make it feel like you stepped into another world.
And I will say this—the photo opportunities are amazing.
There are so many unique rooms, strange displays, and creative details that you could easily spend a lot of time just taking pictures and exploring.
The Scavenger Hunt: A Great Idea… But Confusing for Us
One thing we decided to do was purchase the scavenger hunt… it was cheap and recommended to make the most of the experience (yes I asked workers how to make the most of it, thinking we were doing something wrong).
We figured it would give us more of a challenge and help us experience everything Omega Mart had to offer.
And for context—we actually enjoy escape rooms. We like puzzles. We like solving clues. We like figuring things out.
So we thought this would be right up our alley.
But this is where we struggled.
The scavenger hunt was… confusing and pretty boring. 😂
Instead of feeling like we were working our way through a fun challenge, we often felt like we were trying to figure out what we were even supposed to be looking for.
Maybe we just weren’t in the right mindset that day, or maybe the crowds made it harder, but for our family it took away some of the fun.
The Biggest Challenge: The Crowds
The other thing that surprised us was how crowded it was.
With so many people moving through the space, it was hard to slow down and really take in all the details.
And honestly, Omega Mart is a place where you want to look at the details. There are so many little things happening everywhere that it can feel overwhelming when you’re surrounded by a lot of people.
Was It Worth the Price?
For our family it was definitely a no… it wasn’t worth time price or the time
The creativity is amazing. The artwork is incredible. The pictures are fun.
But for our family, the combination of the cost, crowds, and confusion made it feel like it wasn’t the best use of our time and money in Las Vegas.
Would We Do Omega Mart Again?
For us?
Probably not.
If we had a “re-do” for Las Vegas, Omega Mart would be something we would skip.
That doesn’t mean it’s not worth it for someone else! I can completely understand why people love it. If you enjoy immersive art, unique experiences, and taking lots of creative photos, you may absolutely love it.
And honestly, that’s part of traveling!
Not every stop is going to be your favorite. Sometimes the best travel stories come from the places that surprise you—even when they don’t go exactly as planned.
Our Travel Takeaway
When planning a trip, it’s easy to feel like you have to do every “top-rated” attraction.
But the truth is, every family is different.
What one person calls a must-do might be another person’s “we could have skipped that.”
And that’s why we love sharing the real experiences—the good, the bad, and the places we’re glad we tried.
So tell us…
Have you been to Omega Mart? Did you love it, or would you skip it too?

Safe travels and happy memory making! ❤️
